Wow!! I can't believe it's been a month since my last blog! Told ya I wasn't very good at this. Here's another thing I'm not so good at.......Zumba! My friend Karen and I have been taking Zumba for a year now and I'm still not graceful. I start out moving my uncoordinated feet, once I get that going I then try to add the hips.....ya..haha...now this is when things go awry....adding the arms. I mean really, moving 3 different parts of your body in time to the music, but not. Ya. Karen and I spend most of the class looking at each other and laughing. Now keep in mind we do try our best at shaking the lard off our booty. We have to.......we need to burn calories to make room for our after class latte session. Heck, it's the only reason we go. A girls night out with our favorite lattes. Then, while we sit and enjoy our tasty treat, we discuss why our booty is still there and what can we do about it...........without giving up our latte. Yes, it's a vicious circle and I'm sure many of you can concur.....a battle that may be hard to win.

So, enough with Zumba.....how about that Hot Yoga!? Stephanie and I decided to give it a try. You are in a room with a temperature of 43 or hotter. Now THAT should melt the lard of my butt. Well....so you'd think. Imagine twisting yourself into unusual positions in a normal class. Now add the heat. Your body is literally dripping wet and then you are expected to hold positions....pretty tough when your body parts are sliding everywhere, you lose your balance and over you go. Well, that's me anyway. Stephanie, not so much. She's pretty poised. Must be an age thing. Oh and another thing....I come out of an hour class looking like a drowned rat while Stephanie looks ready for a date. My hair is stuck to my face or sticking straight up while hers is neatly coiffed into a lovely bun with trendles of wet hair curling around the sides. My face looks blotchy and tired where hers looked youthfully misted by the fresh dew in the morning air! Sigh!

So....Karen and I have decided we're going to try water aerobics. We should be pretty buoyant and I'm sure the water will hold us up and will keep us fresh with no sweat. Wish us luck! Haha ya right.
